This program is designed to give you a jump start on your training. Dogs will learn basic training skills that will help them be a polite canine companion at home and in the real world.
Training in a controlled environment helps set your dog up for success. We will training a solid foundation and add distance, duration, distraction, and difficulty as your dog masters training skills.
Our goal is to help you elevate your training by practicing and reinforcing behaviors that help your dog be confident, polite, and calm around the distractions of our daycare and beyond.
Completion of this program does not guarantee a daycare spot. A dog can enroll in this program more than once.
Customized daily enrichment.
Training around other distractions like dogs, humans, novel sounds, smells, and touch.
Crate and Kennel training, with scheduled rest & relaxation time.
Practice with handling skills to make nail trims, baths, and grooming less stressful for your dog.
A solid starts learning foundations games that will make learning easy and fun.
Basic manners training to help your dog become good canine citizens.
Practice relaxation protocols and impulse control games to help your dog relax.
Scheduled mealtimes + 1 Kong provided by YB&P per day.
Details:
Designed for dogs 7 months of age and older.
This program will run 2 days a week for a total of 6weeks (12 total sessions). Day training clients may select two of the following three days, Monday, Wednesday, or Friday.
Dogs will have pictures uploaded to Facebook and receive a weekly report card.
Owners get two individual training sessions, one on week three, halfway through the program, and one at the end of the program, on week six.
No makeup sessions are allowed. Exceptions are made only if YB&P cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Owners, please provide:
Harness, flat or limited slip collar, and a 6ft. leash.
Two types of treats. A soft chewy treat and a high value treat, like string cheese or hot dogs, cut up.
A long-lasting chew, like a pig ear, bully stick, or bone.
A mat/small blanket, towel, or bathmat
Dogs’ lunch, if applicable.
Key details:
Drop dog off at the office anytime 7am-9am.
Pick up between 4pm and 5pm. Please pull up to the office door and check out with Office Staff, park your car, then wait outside at the white picnic table to get feedback from the trainer, and gather your dog.
Anytime after 5pm please go to the office to pick up your dog. Trainer is not available after 5pm.
